Spicy Maple-Glazed Chicken Wings

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds (approx. 1 kg) chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons "KICKIN' CHICKEN RUB" seasoning
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust according to your spice preference)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Optional: Chopped fresh parsley or green onions for garnish

Recipe:

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings, olive oil, and "KICKIN' CHICKEN RUB" seasoning. Toss well to ensure the wings are evenly coated.
  • Arrange the seasoned chicken wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the wings are golden brown and cooked through.
  • While the wings are baking, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan, combine the maple syrup, hot sauce, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and melted butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens slightly and becomes glossy. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the maple glaze over the wings and toss them gently to coat them evenly.
  • Place the glazed wings back onto the baking sheet and return them to the oven for an additional 5 minutes. This will allow the glaze to caramelize slightly and stick to the wings.
  • Remove from the oven and let the wings cool for a few minutes. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley or green onions for garnish, if desired.
  • Serve the Spicy Maple-Glazed Chicken Wings as an appetizer or main dish. They pair well with a side of celery sticks and a dipping sauce of your choice.
