Pumpkin Muffins with Pumpkin Spice Cream Cheese Icing 🧡✨

Soft, spiced pumpkin muffins topped with a fluffy pumpkin spice cream cheese frosting — the perfect cozy treat for fall or any time you're craving comfort.

Muffin Ingredients:

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 ½ tsp pumpkin spice
  • 15 oz canned pumpkin purée
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Pumpkin Spice Cream Cheese Icing Ingredients:

  • 4 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 3 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp Gourmet Inspirations Pumpkin Spice syrup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Muffin Instructions:

Preheat the Oven:
Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners or grease well.

Mix Wet Ingredients:
In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and oil until blended.
Add eggs, vanilla extract, and pumpkin purée. Whisk until smooth.

Combine Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and pumpkin spice.

Mix Together:
Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.

Fill Muffin Tin:
Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about ⅔ full.

Bake:
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool completely before frosting.

Make the Frosting:

Whip Base:
In a stand mixer or with a hand mixer, beat the cream cheese, butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Add Flavor and Sweetness:
Add powdered sugar and Pumpkin Spice syrup. Beat on high speed for 2–3 minutes until light and fluffy.

Frost and Serve:
Once muffins are completely cooled, frost generously. Serve and enjoy!
