Salted Caramel Whiskey Apple French Toast

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs

  • ¼ cup milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ¼ cup icing sugar

  • ¼ tsp cinnamon

  • 6–8 slices bread of choice (brioche, challah, or sourdough work great)

  • 2 apples, sliced

  • ¼ cup brown sugar

  • ¼ cup Gourmet Inspirations Salted Caramel Whiskey Sauce, plus extra for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, icing sugar, and cinnamon until smooth.

  2. Dip each slice of bread into the mixture, coating both sides.

  3. Cook in a lightly buttered skillet over medium heat until golden on both sides (2–3 minutes per side).

  4. For the caramelized apple topping, sauté apple slices in a pan over medium-high heat until tender.

  5. Add brown sugar and continue to cook until apples are golden and syrupy.

  6. Stir in Salted Caramel Whiskey Sauce and cook for another 1–2 minutes.

  7. Spoon apples over French toast, drizzle with more caramel sauce, and serve with fresh fruit.

Serving Suggestion: Top with whipped cream, toasted pecans, or a dusting of powdered sugar.
