A light and fluffy angel food cake topped with juicy strawberries and a silky vanilla glaze — the perfect simple dessert with a sweet twist.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box angel food cake mix (or 1 premade angel food cake)
  • Fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Gourmet Inspirations Mexican Vanilla syrup
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • Splash of milk

 

Instructions:

  1. Bake the Cake:
    Prepare the angel food cake according to the package directions. Bake and let it cool completely on a wire rack.

  2. Prep the Strawberries:
    While the cake is baking, wash and chop your strawberries. Set aside.

  3. Make the Glaze:
    In a metal or glass bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, melted butter, Mexican Vanilla syrup, and a splash of milk. Stir until smooth and pourable — add more milk if needed for desired consistency.

  4. Assemble:
    Once the cake is fully cooled, top it with chopped strawberries.
    Drizzle the vanilla glaze generously over the top.
