Homemade Nacho’s with homemade nacho chips

Homemade Nacho’s with homemade nacho chips

Making your own nacho chips is a great way to customize the flavour of your nachos. Get these ready in advance for an easy weeknight dinner or to serve at the big game 🏈

Ingredients:

  • Fresh corn or flour tortillas (we used 12 for the amount we made but you can adjust for how many nachos you want)
  • Olive Oil
  • Gourmet Inspirations Smoke & Spice
  • Coarse salt
  • Nacho toppings of choice - beef, onion, peppers, etc
  • Cheese

Directions:

  • To start, turn your oven on the high broil setting.

  • Cut your tortillas into triangles - cut in half and then thirds. Place into a bowl and drizzle with olive oil, enough to coat the tortilla pieces but don’t drench them. Sprinkle on your Gourmet Inspirations smoke & spice seasoning and a pinch or two of course sea salt. Toss in the bowl to combine.

  • Spray your baking sheet with a non-stick spray and place on your tortilla chips insuring they don’t overlap. Place in the oven and keep a close eye on them. Once you notice the edges start to brown, flip and broil for another couple of minutes.

  • Once chips are cooked pull out of the oven and top with your nacho toppings and cheese. Place back in the oven to let the cheese melt.

  • Once melted top with green onion or your favorite fresh herb. Serve with salsa, sour cream, and enjoy!
